A unifying approach for managing information and business processes
Most of the work in modeling
business processes is "activity" centered and data is an afterthought. On
the other hand, the data management community focuses exclusively on the
“data lifecycles needs of an enterprise”. But IT solutions to non-trivial
business problems can be achieved only if data management and business
process management can be melded seamlessly. Mr. Kumeran will present an
“artifact-centric” approach to provide IT support for business operations to
show how this can be donw. In this talk, he will introduce this approach and
discuss experiences in developing solutions using this technique. He will
also touch on the connections between the artifact-centric perspective of
SOA and REST.
