ROI Models and Data Quality
Data Quality is important. Most organizations get it. The issue that many organizations are grappling with is not the lack of awareness as regards to the value of high-quality information, but rather how critical they are to the business and how bad data really affects the business. This is where the concept of data quality Return on Investment (ROI) comes in to build an effective business case for instituting a DQ Management program.
This session will be based on actual lessons learnt in seeking to tackle the above, what worked, what did not work, and how one can devise easy-to-comprehend ROI Models and define quality metrics to establish a Quality Service Level Agreement (SLA) foundation. The ROI Model discussion will focus on how the scope of the actual costs of the business problems can be calculated and then how they can be compared to what it takes to improve data quality.
