PRESENTATION
The Crucial Role of Information Integration in Master Data Management
Recommended For: Architects, IT Analysts, IT Leads for Enterprise Initiatives, CRM Owners
Presentation Abstract:
The creation and transmission of "master data" - the facts describing core
business entities such as customers, locations, and products - continues to
grow exponentially. As it grows, it also becomes more dispersed, finding a
home in databases, data marts, spreadsheets, and data transaction structures
in the far corners of your enterprise. At the same time, a new generation of
browser-based portal-style applications are requiring discrete master data
sets to be delivered in real-time. Because of these trends, issues of
quality, management, and access are rising to the fore.
In this seminar, experts from IBM will discuss the importance of processing
master data in a structured, reliable, and consistent fashion, as well as
the need for a powerful data integration platform that can:
- Access the facts about your core business entities from anywhere in
your enterprise
- Automate the creation of a single, logically correct view of your
master data based on your business rules that aligns with reality
- Deliver high-quality master data to your current suite of business
applications in real time
