PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE
Dear Members,
We are now in February and 2008 is progressing full steam ahead. So is
our program, starting with next week's presentation on Data Quality in a
Software as a Service Environment by Arvind Parthasarathi of Informatica
and a full-day Data Interoperability workshop in March. Check out our
web site on both of these events.
We also have conferences coming up: This year's DAMA International
conference has a name change: Data Services and SOA and it will be held
mid-March in San Diego. For more information, you can visit
www.dama.org. Don't forget as a member, you get a discount at these
large events (so don't forget to renew).
We also have our annual elections coming up. Typically, we would hold
these in March. Due to the calendar schedule however, we will be moving
the elections to April. If you are interested in any of the positions,
do check out our website and let me know. We welcome passion and
enthusiasm.
Looking forward to seeing you at the events.
Sincerely,
Mehmet Orun
Chapter President
